Unitas watches are relatively rare today because Auguste Reymond was a small watch company in terms of production, compared to such other big names like Omega, Hamilton, Tissot, and many others.  This page will highlight Unitas watches with views of their movements if possible.

This Unitas watch used a 17 jewel movement and would appear to be from the 1950s.  Watches from that era often used brass in the case which was chrome plated, and thus the "antimagnetic" marking on the dial.  The rubber o-ring can be plainly seen and this permitted the watch to be marked "waterproof."  The Incabloc® shock absorbing system can clearly been seen in the movement.  Later watch models used the trademark name Incabloc® on the dial, which became universal with practically every Swiss watch manufacturer.

UNITAS ATP (Army Time Piece)

Picture of movement shows fine level of finish. A small bit
of debris rests on Unitas name.

Unitas ATP (army timepiece) featured a stainless steel case and back    Subsidiary seconds indicated that this is an early model, prior to the models with a sweep second hand.  Chronomaster UK in Britain has listed this particular vintage watch and gives this description: " The rear is stamped with military issue numbers which read "Bravingtons" a broad arrow, the words "ATP" and "stainless steel" and the numbers 108436 and 63717. Lovely design with large winding crown, long extended lugs which have typical military fixed bars to prevent it snapping off whilst in action. Very collectile and much referenced Bravingtons issue.  Dimensions are:  Width 33 mm excluding crown, 36 mm including crown 38 mm lug to lug and 10 mm thick."

The movement powering this watch was possibly a movement offered prior to the 6325.  The ATP was a rugged watch design built to take abuse.  It certainly is collectible.
