The Unitas 6497 and 6498 pocket watch movements manufactured today by ETA have become one of the most popular movements to use in new manual wind wristwatches. This is quite an interesting development in Swiss watchmaking and has lent new life to the sturdy and accurate '64s, as I call them. Pacardt is a relatively new Swiss watch company. The company has embraced the current trend of using the rugged 6497 and 6498 Unitas movements in a new line of its watches. They make several different designs, of which this watch is one. It is available with a stainless steel caseback or a see through caseback, which is shown here.
